Performing the rich heritage
of brass music
from the 16th Century
to the present day
The Carter Mountain Brass Band
is currently searching for a
Conductor/Music Director.
The position will begin in March 2018.
The band is a well established ensemble, a reflection of the stability and dedication of its leaders and members. We will be celebrating our 20th anniversary in 2018!
The band rehearses bi-weekly at the United Methodist Church on Rt. 11A in Gilford NH from March to the beginning of December and presents 4 to 5 performances at various venues in central New Hampshire during the summer months and 2 Christmas concerts in December.
The band has an extensive music library, with several members and former members willing to arrange music, plus a budget for buying new music.
A stipend is given to the band’s music director for each rehearsal and concert.
Qualifications:
- Experienced conductor
- Familiarity with brass band repertoire
- Desire for excellence in performance
- Good sense of humor and
excellent communications skills
